Homegrown and Handmade

The Homegrown Urban Country Fair last Saturday was an amazing event. Not only did I get to score fresh goodies from my favorite bakery, Companion- I spent the day creating upcycled goods with pals Autumn and Alecia. We froze our butts of for a bit, but the craftin’ kept us warm.

Autumn, creator of the Upcycle Exchange, made these killer hula hoops out of irrigation tubing and tape. Yeah, you know you want one.

It Was Strange, It Was Fun.

I can’t believe it’s over already! I spend all year looking forward to the Strange Folk Festival and then POOF! It’s over.

Spending a weekend at a craft show with some of your favorite people in the world isn’t too shabby. When the storm hit on Saturday afternoon, the boys quickly crafted a shelter with borrowed tarps (thank you Bare Tree Apparel!) and we giggled through the thunder and rain. Once the weather cleared, it was a gorgeous weekend all around.

Thank you to all my pals who came by the booth (especially those of you who walked away with your very own TwIsTeD & Mermaid Garden Party goodies!). I can’t wait till next year (:

Strange Folk Festival

With all but our cars packed, we’re ready for this weekend at the Strange Folk Festival! With over 300 new pieces of TwIsTeD jewelry, a new banner, and Mermaid Garden Party – the booth will be filled to the brim with crafty goodness!

Last week, TwIsTeD goodies were featured on Great Day St. Louis in a segment for the Strange Folk Festival. Yes, my mother Tivo’d it and made the entire family watch it. The Strange Folk segment starts at 9:45. Check it out!

With only a chance of rain in the afternoon, Saturday morning looks fabulous! I hope to see you there!

Strange Folk Booth Buddy: Mermaid Garden Party

mermaid garden party
The long days of booth-sitting, or “boothing” as a pal called it, at craft shows can only be made better by sharing your space with a pal. At Strange Folk, that pal-o-mine is none other than Cara from Mermaid Garden Party. Other than sharing common interests like our addictions to crafty goodness, vintage, and tunes, we tend to roll into some serious giggle fits when together for more than an hour. It’s contagious.

Check out her awesome wares below & be sure to stop by the booth this weekend ~
